Summer 2025 – Ondřej Soukup

Czech conductor Ondřej Soukup has conducted the BBC SSO, Czech Chamber Philharmonic, Bohuslav Martinů Philharmonic, Copenhagen Phil, and Symphony Orchestras of Ålborg, Århus, Odense, and Sønderborg among others. He regularly assists Ryan Bancroft with BBC NOW and Malmö Symphony, and Jac van Steen with Prague Symphony Orchestra and NYOS.

In the 2023/2024 season, Ondřej’s engagements include the Copenhagen Phil, the Danish Sinfonietta, Ålborg Symphony, Helsingborg Symphony, Magna Sinfonia, DKDM Symphony, and Prinsens Musikkorps.

He is proficient in symphonic, operatic, choral and contemporary music with a repertoire of 250+ works including Wagner’s Das Rheingold.

Recent highlights include working with Sir Thomas Allen, Sir Antonio Pappano, Maxim Vengerov, stepping in for Martyn Brabbins, Joana Carneiro, and with the Prague Summer Nights Festival at short notice.

Ondřej was MD with King’s College London Symphony Orchestra and recently graduated from London’s Royal College of Music with distinction.

Autumn 2025 - Carl-Oscar Østerlind

With extensive experience as a soloist, chamber musician, and orchestral performer, Carl-Oscar Østerlind is now establishing himself as a conductor. He is the conductor and artistic director of Sankt Annæ Symphony Orchestra, one of Denmarks leading youth orchestras and is a part of the Danish career program for conductors "Dirigentløftet".

As a cellist, he has been a member of internationally acclaimed ensembles, such as Messiaen Quartet Copenhagen and The Danish String Quartet. He regularly performs as guest principal cellist in many orchestras such as the Swedish Chamber Orchestra, Danish Chamber Players, Odense Symphony Orchestra, Aalborg Symphony Orchestra and Iceland Symphony Orchestra.

Carl-Oscar appeared as a soloist and chamber musician at festivals such as Verbier Festival, Ravinia Festival, Ipalpiti Festival, Piatigorsky Cello Festival, Prussia Cove´s "Open Chamber Music" and Bergen Festspillene. As a concerto soloist, he performed in front of orchestras in Denmark, Sweden, USA and Mexico.

Carl-Oscar Østerlind is assistant professor at Sankt Annæ Gymnasium and lecturer at the Royal Danish Academy of Music in Copenhagen. He regularly teaches at master classes in Scandinavia and abroad.
