Join us
KUSO is always looking for nice and committed amateur musicians, who can enrich our small music universe and make our rehearsals even more fun. There is no age restriction to join, but most of our orchestra members are university students and beyond. Everyone who loves music and playing in an orchestra is most welcome. The main language used during rehearsal is English to welcome our international musicians (there's plenty of chances to practise Danish by socialising with the other members of the orchestra too).
Joining
There is no audition but you’re more than welcome to send us a short mail at bestyrelse@kuso.dk with some info about you and your musical journey. Even if there aren’t immediate open positions on our website for your instrument in particular, there could be an opening anyway, or the possibility to be an assistant (i.e. coming to rehearsals when someone else is missing) until the position becomes available.
Expectation
Joining KUSO means that you get the possibility to attend rehearsals under the leadership of our capable conductors (read about their experience here), social events during the projects, the rehearsal weekend, and other activities. On average, we have more than 30 rehearsals per year, circa 10 per project.
Subscription
At the beginning of each project, the price is of 300DKK (approx. 40€), and needs be paid before the 4th rehearsal in the project.
There’s also a possibility to pay for a whole year (i.e. 3 projects) in the orchestra altogether, which reduces the total price to 750DKK (approx. 100€).
